Description
In the morning you will leave the harbour to head toward the city of Lucca.
This beautiful town has inspired the imagination of Dante, the most important italian writer and father of the italian language.
Traffic hasn’t had a negative impact on the city which is surrounded by the walls, in fact pedestrian areas, have been perfectly preserved. You will walk in the old town which is full of romanesque churches, squares, streets and bell towers which stand and lie in a surreal silence.
The lunch will be arranged in a typical farm with a unique atmosphere and your meal will be based on a traditional tuscan specialities.
In the afternoon we will have time to relax at “Villa Torrigiani”, one of the most spectacular Villas in the whole Lucca’s area. It is the clearest example of “Lucchese taste”, a surprising ensemble of grottoes, nymph temples, flowers, masks, secret water games, all intended to make you feel as if you were in a fairy-tale.
After the visit you will rejoin your travel means to return on board.
